About Whitesburg, TN - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
Whitesburg, Tennessee is a small, unincorporated community of not quite 5,000 residents located in eastern Hamblen County. It is rural in nature, with its primary occupation being farming. Its location along U.S. Route 11E is bordered by Bull’s Gap on the East and Russellville on the West. The name comes from the White family, who at one time owned the only store in town. The community is home to Whitesburg Elementary School, which was built in 1955. The school enrolls about 250 students in kindergarten through fifth grade. Upon graduating from Whitesburg ES, most students go on to enroll in East Ridge Middle School, also located in Whitesburg, although students must complete their education by traveling to Morristown for high school.
Morristown's summers can be quite humid, although its elevation of 1,234 feet above sea level means that it tends to cool down a bit at night. Winters are chillier than in the Deep South, although snowfall is moderate and seldom heavy. Rainfall is somewhat above average, except in the "dry season" of September and October, when it tapers off quite a bit.
