About Alpha, TN - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
Alpha, Tennessee is a small, unincorporated community located in Hamblen County, Tennessee, around the junction of Tennessee State Route 160 and Highway 11-E, just between Jefferson City and Morristown. The Alpha School was formed in 2002 from the merger of Alpha Primary, which served students in kindergarten through second grade, and Alpha Elementary, serving third through fifth grades. Today the school enrolls almost 700 students, and has a rating of seven out of ten stars from greatschools.net (although its community approval rating is five out of five stars). Another community institution is the Alpha Baptist Church, which was originally founded in 1868 as Cedar Grove Baptist Church. Today the church offers Sunday worship services and Wednesday evening Bible study in its modern complex, which includes a 12,000-square-foot Christian learning center and an auditorium that can seat more than 750 worshipers.
Alpha's climate tends to be hot and humid in the summertime, as is typical for the mid-south, but its Appalachian setting and nearly 1,300 feet elevation keep it somewhat cooler than the flatter, hotter regions of southern and western Tennessee. Winters are relatively mild, with only a few inches of snowfall per year.
